Selmon, one of three Oklahoma brothers who went on to gridiron stardom, parlayed his status as the first Tampa Bay Buccaneer to make the NFL Hall of Fame into a new career in cuisine with Lee Roy Selmons.

A winner of the Outland Trophy from the University of Oklahoma, Selmon was the overall number one draft choice, made the All-Rookie team and eventually became NFL defensive player of the year.

After retirement, he also served as athletic director of the University of South Florida.

The restaurant chain is inspired by the recipes from his mother, Jessie, who raised nine children on a farm in Eufaula, OK.
