Powertek's Scott primes to keep nation safe, efficient

ROCKVILLE -- When it comes to efficient service delivery, national security and public safety, no job is too big for Powertek's Nancy Scott to tackle.

Her 27 years of experience have put her at the helm of one of the largest black-owned information technology contractors for the federal government.

Ninety-five percent of Powertek's projects are as the prime contractor.

In the current fiscal year, more than $2.7 billion in information technology contracts has gone to African-American companies as they tackle increasingly larger projects.

She is among the selectees for the 50 Most Important African-Americans in Technology who are keeping the country safe and running smoothly.

Powertek's portfolio runs from cyber security and software engineering to electronc health records.
