Powertek wins prestigious Dept. of Defense contract

ROCKVILLE -- Powertek Corporation has been awarded a task order under the Department of Defense’s Net-Centric Integrated Enterprise Technologies Solutions contract vehicle to provide information technology operations front office support for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), WHS supported organizations, and the Pentagon Force Protection Agency.

Nancy Scott,  President and CEO of Powertek, is among the 50 Most Important African-Americans in Technology gathering in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 15 for Innovation & Equity: Keeping America First in Technology: Public Innovation and Supplier Diversity.

Powertek will implement ITIL-based service improvements while providing comprehensive customer support including service desk and deskside support, VIP support, integrated logistics and asset management, enterprise managed print services, mobile support, and operational service requests. The primary performance locations include the Pentagon, Mark Center, and Crystal City.


When it comes to efficient service delivery, national security and public safety, no job is too big for Powertek's Scott to tackle.

Her 27 years of experience have put her at the helm of one of the largest black-owned information technology contractors for the federal government.

Ninety-five percent of Powertek's projects are as the prime contractor.

In the current fiscal year, more than $2.7 billion in information technology contracts has gone to African-American companies as they tackle increasingly larger projects.
