Derek Toliver of CT Pharmaceuticals LLC and Kimberly Brandon of Morgan Stanley greet Dr. Keith Shongwe at Bayview/ Hunters Point YMCA
SAN FRANCISCO -- As a physician, public health practitioner and entrepreneur, Dr. Keith Shongwe foresees a continent-wide leap forward in health care, similar to the rapid growth in mobile technology.
During a visit to California to seek health technology partners, the advisor to health ministries in South Africa and Swaziland discussed how the potential of health care is replacing a focus on desperate need.
Shongwe also got to see some intervention strategies at the Bayview/Hunters Point YMCA in San Francisco as former San Francisco 49er Eason Ranson described an array of services offered to young people and their families.
