HUNTSVILLE -- Logicore announced its latest partnership with Lockheed Martin – Global Training & Logistics (LM – GTL) in a contract win with the Manpower, Personnel, Training, and Education (MPT&E) Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) section of the Navy Personnel Command (NPC) Business Operations Department. With this partnership, LogiCore will support document production operations, maintain personnel records, manage image creation and evaluation processes, and coordinate image selection review boards.

It is the latest milestone for Alabama A&M alumnae Miranda Bouldin as she has grown the company to more than 140 employees in ten years.

Bouldin is among the 50 Most Important African-Americans in Technology.  Innovation & Equity 2013: Keeping America First in Technology: Public Innovation and Supplier Diversity takes place Jan. 15, 2013 in Washington, D.C.

“LogiCore is excited and ready to provide operations management support to the Navy Personnel Command, and we are proud to do our part to help further the Navy’s mission: Maintain, train, and equip combat-ready Naval forces capable of winning wars, deterring aggression, and maintaining freedom of the seas,”  said Bouldin.

The Miranda Bouldin Scholarship Fund challenged students to write an essay on cybersecurity and the U.S. defense mission.

LogiCore awarded a $1500 scholarship and laptop to each of the following recipients of the 2012 Miranda Bouldin Scholarship Fund: Kimille-Grace Trott, Sarah Darby, Alexis Skarupa, Christopher Johnson, Allison Thompson and Bailey Walker.

In announcing this year’s winners, Bouldin shared some of her thoughts about the importance of education.

“College is a very important period in a young person’s life, and I was fortunate to attend Alabama A&M University and earn a degree in Business Administration and Logistics. The education I received was the perfect springboard for me to apply toward a career in business, and then in creating my own business. I agree wholeheartedly with Nelson Mandela, who said that education is the most powerful weapon that you can use to change the world, and I look forward to opportunities to support our students, who are tomorrow’s leaders.”
