Coleman chairs two public tech firms

Coleman also serves as chairman of Accelrys, Inc. (NASDAQ:ACCL), a leading provider of software for computation, simulation, and the management and mining of scientific data used by biologists, chemists and materials scientists. With more than 700 employees and $160 million in annual revenue, Accelrys offers technology and services to meet the needs of today's leading research organizations.
Coleman is the founder and former chairman and CEO of ITM Software, an enterprise software company focused on the information technology function that was sold to BMC Corporation. Previously, he was executive vice president of global sales, service and marketing for Silicon Graphics, Inc (SGI), which at the time was a $2.3 billion computer systems company. In this capacity, he managed an organization with 4,000 employees in 37 countries.
Prior to joining SGI, Coleman was vice president of product development at Activision, Inc., responsible for software development activities. Earlier, he spent 10 years at Hewlett-Packard Company, where he held several management positions including a two-year assignment in Europe.
In addition to his roles at Accelrys and MIPS, Mr. Coleman serves on the boards of directors of City National Bank and United Online. He is a member of the dean's advisory council for the business school at The Ohio State University. He is on the Board of AAA Northern California, Nevada and Utah.
