Healthy Soul Choice.  One of the keys to good mental health can be a good romantic life.  Whether married, in a LTR or just hookin' up, the ambiance of a great restaurant is one of the best ways to build memories.

Delicacies of the Day.   You can't get much higher than Connie Bass' Encounter restaurant.  It is at the top of the Theme Building at Los Angeles International Airport.  Paul Revere Williams, the most important African-American architect in history, designed the structure, one of his 3,000 buildings including the Beverly Hilton, in 1961.  Bass has been there since 1997.  Impress your date with that history and enjoy the Shrimp Penne Pomodoro Citron.

If you're not in a relationship, then you can check out the Thursday night speed dating at Justin's Atlanta, 2200 Peachtree Road, about halfway between downtown and Buckhead.  It is the signature restaurant of music mogul Sean Combs and celebrities galore stream through constantly.

To do the Broadway theatre and dinner scene for Alicia Keys' Stick Fly, the legendary B. Smith has a top-flight venue right in the midst of New York City's Times Square at 320 W. 46th St. Eat jambalaya in style.

Music is also part of the ambiance.  Pascal Bokar's Savannah Jazz Club just won the Downbeat Magazine Best Jazz Venue.   Bokar is a celebrated guitarist who leads the house band.  There's also a Sunday night jam session at 2645 Mission St. in San Francisco.

Favorite Farmer: Thomas Burrell, president of the Black Farmers and Agriculturalists Association.

Cookbook of the Day: B.Smith's Entertaining and Cooking with Friends.
