Pican brings smoothness to Oakland

In a city of extremes from sports to politics to music, owner Michael leBlanc has accurately read his market to create a destination venue which can attract the entire community.
Located at 2295 Broadway, Pican has recently scored a Bib Gourmand rating from the Michelin Guide. During February, it honored Black History Month with a special menu to recognize Leah Chase of New Orleans' Dooky Chase landmark and brought in Sharon Anderson, formerly of Purple Plum, as a guest chef.
