Richard T. Lewis founded RTL Networks in 2002

DENVER -- Anyone who has followed Richard L. Lewis would not be surprised that his firm RTL-Networks has become one of the largest African-American federal vendors in Colorado.

According to the Denver Business Journal, RTL Networks grew by more than 260 percent from 2007 to 2009, reaching over 50 employees. Lewis started the company in 2002.

Lewis is a graduate of the U. S. Air Force Academy and William and Mary’s MBA program. Additionally, he has a masters degree in computer systems security and 20 years of military and corporate leadership experience. Lewis received his honorable discharge from the U. S. Air Force at the rank of captain after serving his country in Operation Southern Watch and various international assignments. Lewis was awarded several military commendations including:

Joint Service Achievement Medal
Twice awarded Air Force Commendation Medal
Elected by peers to teach and enforce Air Force Academy honor code

Lewis, a former All-State high school football player, track and field high school
