Hutchins, selected for the second consecutive year among the 12th annual 50 Most Important African-Americans in Technology, notes the following new contracts with the Departments of Interior, State and Veterans Affairs since the last Innovation & Equity symposium.

He will participate in the Innovation & Equity 2012 workshop on increasing procurement by federal, state and local agencies with African-American technology companies, which received $2.7 billion of action obligations in IT from the U.S. government during the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 2011.

• Department of Veterans Affairs (VA): RDTS won the contract to provide Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) for VA’s Office of Information & Technology Office of Financial Business Office of Financial Business Operations Veteran Affairs Time and Attendance System Major Initiative No. 11, Establishing Strong Integrated Operating Model (IOM). Under this contract, RDTS is providing the program management, administrative support, and necessary resources to complete an Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) for VA’s Web Time and Attendance System (WebTA).
• Department of the Interior (DOI): RDTS is subcontractor to Dynanet Corporation, providing audiovisual and telecommunications services for their DOI’s National Business Center (NBC). For this contract, RDTS is responsible for program management and administrative support, overseeing all services delivered. We perform a range of multimedia and audiovisual services, including pre-production, press conferences, and satellite uplink broadcasts.
• Department of State (DOS): As subcontractor to Nucore Vision, Inc., RDTS provides key Oracle Database Administration (DBA) under DOS’s Bureau of Human Resources HR/EX/ESD contract. We manage and coordinate all resources and projects for the DBA team, and provide DBA services to support functions including Production, Disaster Recovery, Training, and Reporting.
